Context + challenges

Ramila Padiachy, DNM, is an exceptional woman who, through Ramilas Healing Arts Centre, is changing the way people think about their health. With a conversion-optimized landing page that includes e-commerce capabilities, she can now get her recent book “The Belly of the Beast” in front of as many people as possible, to continue changing lives. 

The thought of paying fees to a giant like Amazon to sell her book simply did not sit well. Ramila needed a simple, intuitive solution that would allow her to retain control of selling her book online.

That is when fellow author and long time vcc client, Anne Debutte suggested Ramila and Megs connect with us to discuss a custom automated solution.

On her advice, Ramila and Megs Padiachy reached out to | venture creative collective | and a plan was formed to create a beautiful landing page for “Belly of the Beast” that would allow Ramila to retain control of the online book sales.

The landing page needed to closely mimic the aesthetics of the book, to help ensure a cohesive purchasing experience for potential readers. Bold blue and red were added strategically for maximum impact, without taking away from the rich copy.

Providing potential buyers with enough tantalizing tidbits of information about the wealth of knowledge contained within the book, accompanied by clear, strong calls to action creates a high conversion rate.

We created a seamless and intuitive eCommerce experience for both the physical book, and an ebook version. Ramila is easily able to manage her sales, and gain valuable insight into the behaviour of her customers.

A value-added opt-in (a cookbook) provides Ramila a solid lead generating mailing list to convert book readers to clients.
