Context + challenges
MalaRae is a Canadian artisan company specializing in yoga jewelry, such as malas, wraps, and bracelets. The pieces are made with semi precious stones and are designed to last through everyday wear. Prior to vcc’s involvement, MalaRae’s founder, Kyla, had a negative experience with another website designer, which left the company with an incomplete website, which did not suit her needs.
solution + results
To ensure that this experience was more positive, we started by asking Kyla to complete “Brand Exploration Guide” in order to determine exactly what website features were important to her business. Through this process, it was determined that a brand new website was a more logical solution than a redesign of the existing one. We took Kyla’s suggestions, preferences, and written content, and executed a complete design, including an e-commerce store, with a wholesale component.
Thanks to the recommendations of the Ladies Who Lunch, I recently connected with Michelle Weger of | venture creative collective | to seek assistance in building a website for my business MalaRae. I was so overwhelmed with the amount of positive referrals I received for Michelle, that it was an easy decision to trust her work. Michelle made the process so effortless and she was such a gem to work with. I see now why she has such a good reputation and I will definitely be among those recommending her to services.
